Bibliography mandatory There must be only one Bibliography or References section for the whole thesis. If the work includes other scholarly artifacts such as film and other audio, visual, and graphic representations, and application-oriented documents such as policy briefs, curricula, business plans, computer and web tools, pages, and applications, etc. If you would like an exception to any of these specifications, please contact the Thesis Section well in advance of your final submission to determine whether or not this is acceptable. If your thesis is too large for you to send by email, please send using FTP, Dropbox, or similar file transfer system. It is your responsibility to submit a thesis dissertatino the correct format and allow time for revisions to be complete in order to meet deadlines.

Notation and formatting must be consistent throughout the thesis, including units of measure, abbreviations, and the numbering scheme for tables, figures, footnotes, and citations. The Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is happy to review your thesis early in its preparation to ensure that you’re on the right track. The PDF file must be compatible with Adobe Acrobat version 5, and must not be in “secured” format or password-protected. As of July 17,pre-reviews are no longer mandatory for doctoral dissertations immediately prior to submission for the external examiner.
If you are preparing for final submission, your thesis will be reviewed more quickly if you submit directly to cIRcle rather than emailing it for review. Dedication The dedication is usually quite short, and is a personal rather than an academic recognition. Appendices must be limited to supporting material genuinely subsidiary to the main argument of the work.

Proofreading is primarily your responsibility, but supervisors and examiners should not sign off on theses until they are free of errors. If staff notice egregious mistakes elsewhere in a thesis they may require them to dissetration corrected in the interest of ensuring a professional presentation of the work.

You can remove any unneeded lines if you have fewer examiners than there are listed in the templates. It is your responsibility to proofread your thesis carefully.
